Some top marketers share their wisdom on Google +.

There are some experts out there who are more than willing to share their expertise with the world. We’ve rounded up some of the most influential marketers on the planet, and then fine tuned our list further by focusing on which ones are also making an impact on Google+. Here’s our list:

1. Michael Brito

Michael Brito is a renowned marketing specialist in social media, community building and content strategy. He has helped companies transform their brands into media companies through social business frameworks that focus on content strategy and community.

His experience includes that of director at WCG, a W2O Group company, and senior VP for Edelman Digital and for major Silicon Valley players, including Hewlett Packard, Yahoo and Intel.

2. Michael Brenner

Michael Brenner is a leading content strategist, speaker, blogger and social business marketer. As VP of global marketing and content strategy for SAP, he developed an award-winning inbound marketing content destination site called Business Innovation.

He is the author of the B2B Marketing Insider blog, a Forbes contributor a frequent speaker at marketing events. 

3. Rafat Ali

Rafat Ali is a marketing success story, closely watched by those in the industry. He used his journalism, technical and marketing expertise to found Skift, a provider of news, data and services to the travel and leisure industry and business travelers. Before that, he founded paidContent and ContentNext, which he sold to Guardian News and Media.

Rafat was previously the managing editor of Silicon Alley Reporter. His undergraduate degree, completed in India, was in computer engineering. He earned his master’s in journalism from Indiana University.

4. Lewis Dvorkin

Lewis Dvorkin is another leading example of a journalist with significant marketing savvy. He is chief product officer at Forbes Media, which he founded.

Previously, he was a senior VP of programming at AOL, where he managed news, sports and network programming.

He was an executive editor at Forbes magazine, page one editor of The Wall Street Journal, a senior editor at Newsweek, and an editor at The New York Times.

5. Laura Lake

Followed and read by thousands every day, Laura Lake has been a marketing strategist for over 15 years. She is the author of Consumer Behavior for Dummies and the Guide to About.com’s marketing site.

Lake’s professional career has included digital and traditional marketing management in which she grew revenue for top brands.

6. Seth Godin

Seth Godin is a famous marketer extraordinaire, founder of Squidoo.com and the author of 14 books that have been published around the globe and translated into 25 languages.
