The Super-Quick Summary: We tell you about our customers. You "pitch" an idea for the pieces you'd like to write, with your proposed rate. When the customers approve your pitch, you write the piece, then promote the final article on your website. The better your results, the higher rates you can command.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much will I get paid?

The short answer: once you're in, you can request any rate you choose.

The full answer: First, we'll ask you to do a test article. While everyone else asks you to do the test article "on spec," we pay you $25.00, then publish it on the Media Shower blog, promoting you and your website. After a successful test, we'll assign you a "recommended rate," based on your industry influence (i.e., your ability to promote). Once in, however, you can pitch any rate you choose. The more results you drive, the more customers will pay.

What do you mean by "results"?

We track the "Call To Action," or the link at the bottom of a page that encourages a reader to take the next step ("contact us," "download our white paper," "sign up for a free trial"). Each successful CTA that your content drives is added to your account, and shows up in your profile. These attract customers like honey.

Will I get a byline?

Yes, your author photo and bio will be included, along with a high-quality link to your website. Promotion comes with the package.

Do I have to promote the piece after it's published?

Yes. This is a requirement of the Thought Leader program, and why we've selected you. If you're just interested in writing without promoting, please use our standard Writer Application form.

Can I promote the piece via social media instead of posting a return link on my site?

We would love promotion of the interview via social media, but the requirement is a link somewhere on your site, as we will be doing the same for you.

What will the assignments be about?

We have customers in every conceivable industry, but we reached out to you because we have a specific customer in mind that matches with your expertise.

What is the timeframe to complete content? Can you send me a deadline?

Once your pitch is approved by the customer, we ask for your completed content one week from the date we send you the assignment. We take deadlines seriously.
